Suggested Cooking Instructions for different methods:
Wash rice, until water is clear, to remove excess starch. Soak rice with hot water, add salt, and soak for at least 30 minutes.

Basmati Rice 1 CUP
Water 1 1/2 CUPS_
Salt : To taste_
Open Pot : Gently Boil

Bring 1 cup (200g) of rice and 6 cups (1400mL) of water to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and boil gently, uncovered, 12-14 minutes. Drain well and serve.
Covered Pan:
Place 1 cup (200g) of rice and 11/2 cups (375mL) of water in a sauce pan. Bring to a vigorous boil. Stir, reduce heat to medium & simmer covered for 12-14 minutes. Remove from heat. Let sit covered for 5-10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
Microwave:_
Place 1 cup (200g) of rice and 11/2 cups (375mL) of water in microwave container and cover with a loose lid. Cook on MEDIUM HIGH setting for 15 minutes. Stir rice from time to time. Remove from microwave & sit covered for 5 minutes.
Fluff with fork and serve. (If rice is hard, use more water.)
